CANCER
.Do not under any circumstances attempt to replace conventional cancer therapies with sarsaparilla or any other supplements

Studies have shown that Sarsaparilla could possibly be used as a treatment / preventative for certain types of cancer, especially colon and gastric cancers. A laboratory based study examined the anti-growth activity of five saponins isolated from Sarsaparilla, it was compared in six human cell lines derived from different tumour types. One of the saponins was shown to be particularly active against the HT29 colon tumour cell line.

Preclinical studies in breast cancer tumours and liver cancer have also shown the anti-tumour properties of Sarsaparilla.
Sarsaparilla has killed many types of cancer cells in multiple cell-based and animal studies.
More research is needed to establish if sarsaparilla can be used in cancer prevention and treatment.
